#MadeForGreater The Sr Associate, Cyber Security & IT Risk Management is a member of Northern Trust's Technology Regulatory Management and Compliance Program, is responsible for interacting with partners to provide support, guidance, and thought leadership on global regulatory agency responses and routine inquiries This team plays a key role in maintaining a satisfactory or better rating amongst various global regulatory agencies which have oversight of Northern Trust TheSr Associate, Cyber Security & IT Risk Management assists in the development of responses to global regulatory inquiries and examinations around information technology risk and information security controls prior, during, and after regulatory engagements Major Duties
  1. Provides support in providing responses to global regulatory agency inquiries pertaining to Northern Trust's information technology risk and information security controls
  2. Ensures responses are communicated in a professional manner that are clear, factual and easily understood by the intended audience.

  3. Works primarily with internal stakeholders to ensure proper interpretation of regulatory requests, tracking of completion, and preparation of artifacts for submission
  4. Provides coordination and project management for regulatory examinations
  5. Assists in managing the regulatory change process, including initial analysis of new/updated regulatory requirements and review with appropriate subject matter experts
  6. Assists in maintaining the program framework, processes, and artifacts to ensure alignment with overall Technology strategy and solicits input from subject matter experts
  7. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve team processes and knowledgebase.

  8. Required ability to absorb and apply technical knowledge in combination with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
MUST HAVE
  • Experience in understanding Technology Risk & controls across the wide Technology domains
  • Ability to interpret and map Regulatory Requirements with the NT Policy framework
  • Execute critical and important activities that comes out of the Control Assurance Program
  • Ability to finalize and firm up Self-Identified Issues & Attestations
  • Ability to contribute to controls in the Controls Library
  • Ability to perform IT controls testing
  • Ability to report the outcomes of IT controls Testing
  • Contribute to Audit Issue or Risk Exception Management Processes
  • Expertise in arriving at the Technology Risk & Controls posture and ensuring the right and timely reporting
Additionally:
  • Has a basic understanding of technology risks, controls, and related topics
  • Knowledge of common desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and ability to learn new tools as needed
  • Ability to communicate regulatory requirements to partners in terms easily understood.

  • Ability to understand and interact with technology subject matter experts regarding technology topics which align to regulatory requests and compliance requirements
  • Highly organized with time management skills
  • Ability to produce high quality deliverables on-time
  • Ability to proactively assess issues, identify solutions and problem solve
  • Ability to adapt and react timely and positively in a changing and dynamic work environment.
