About the OpportunityJob Type: PermanentApplication Deadline: 18 April 2023Job DescriptionTitle: AM/PL Credit Controller Department: Revenue COE Location: Gurgaon Level : 4We're proud to have been helping our clients build better financial futures for over 50 years How have we achieved this By working together - and supporting each other - all over the world So, join our Revenue COE team and feel like you're part of something biggerDepartment DescriptionFinancial Planning & Analysis team is responsible for providing financial analysis, information, forecasting and insight to senior leaders within, Technology, Operations, Investment Management and Corporate functions, as well as to the FIL board and the Global Operating Committee as a whole The team is also responsible for corporate KPI and revenue, sales and assets reporting and for maintaining all revenue sales, assets and management accounts data globally.

Purpose of the RoleThis role is an excellent opportunity to gain a broad understanding of financial controllership and its role in FIL's Financial Services business The role will be primarily around tracking and monitoring aged debts of Fidelity's Institutional, Workplace Investing and Funds Network clients and related stakeholder management and reporting The successful applicant will be exposed to IGAAP/UGAAP based accounting and would be required to demonstrate flexibility and enthusiasm towards ad hoc queries and analysisKey ResponsibilitiesThe roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
  • Take lead in formalizing a credit control process, defining key roles and responsibilities, getting signoffs on the proposed process and implementing the process as part of BAU
  • Regular monitoring of aged debts in JDE/CFP systems in various buckets.

  • Prepare aging statements and regular follow-ups with clients, service managers, relationship directors on outstanding client payments
  • Preparing and sending periodic MI reports to internal stakeholders on aging trend and progress
  • Liasoning with controllers, cashiers and billing teams on related matters
  • Support reporting and analysis
  • Deal with Ad-Hoc queries from stakeholders and preparation of MIS
  • Get involved with various ongoing/upcoming projects to support change
  • Identify key process issues and propose improvements in end-to-end process.

  • Prepare and publish KPI dashboard to stakeholders
  • Ensure that process control tasks are being followed while BAU processing
  • Ensure that the process deliverables are being actioned as per the defined SLA
Experience and Qualifications RequiredTechnical
  • Qualified CA /MBA Finance with up to 4-5 years of relevant work experience in Finance with exposure to accounts receivables and credit control functions
  • Strong analytical skills including knowledge of accounting principles
  • Shown attention to detail and an appetite to dive into issues in depth as needed
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft office software packages proficient in Microsoft excel
  • Knowledge of Essbase, HFM and CFP would be an advantage
  • Collaborative approach to develop, share, accept and implement ideas
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to improve process
  • Drive change projects within the process
