Job Description Summary:

This position is for an entry level software developer role to work with teams across the globe building state of the art payment solutions and merchant experiences The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with awareness of the core concepts and foundational knowledge of Computer Science who is also aware of industry trends, possesses a positive work ethic and a “”can do”” attitude The prospective candidate will be working on multiple languages and platforms, devising and delivering solutions to the market, in a fast-paced manner The role would involve building features and capabilities on merchant products and payment platforms that would redefine how customers of PayPal pay and get paid

Job Responsibilities:-

• Demonstrate a customer centric mindset as part of day-day work.
  
  
• Ensure that the implementation adheres to defined specs and processes
• Own end-to-end quality of deliverables during all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Work with managers, leads and peers to come up with implementation options
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage continuously changing business needs

Skills:-

• Strong computer science fundamentals such as data structures, algorithms, database and object-oriented programming techniques
• Strong programming skills and expertise in one of the scripting languages or object oriented programming languages
• Good understanding of REST API’s, Web Services, Unit Testing and build tools.
  
  
• Good understanding and hands on experience with databases such as MySQL/ Oracle etc
• Rich object-oriented design and analysis skills working with databases such as MySQL/ Oracle / NoSQL DB etc
