Qualification :

Only those candidates who possess the qualifications prescribed under Telangana State Judicial (Service & Cadre) Rules 2017 which are mentioned below, shall be eligible to apply

a) Direct Recruitment: A person who has been practicing for not less than three(3) years as an Advocate, as on the date of publication of the notification/advertisement in the news papers, shall be eligible to apply for the post of Civil Judge under Direct Recruitment

b) Recruitment By Transfer: A person applying under Recruitment by Transfer must possess a Degree in Law awarded by any University established by Law in India and must be an confirmed member or approved probationer in any one of the categories mentioned below No person is eligible for appointment under Recruitment by Transfer, who is facing disciplinary charges or has undergone any punishment or is in subsisting punishment for any irregularity in discharge of his/her duties

The High Court of Telangana is the High Court of the Indian state Telangana. Founded by the 7th Nizam H.E.H Mir Osman Ali Khan, initially it was set up as High Court of Hyderabad for the then Princely State of Hyderabad Deccan and later renamed High Court of Andhra Pradesh, as it was set up on 5 November 1956 under the States Reorganisation Act, 1956. The Andhra Pradesh High Court was renamed as High court of Judicature at Hyderabad in view of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh state. From 2 June 2014, after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 came into force, it has been renamed and serves as a common high court for both of the states. A separate high court was established for Andhra Pradesh and inaugurated on 1 January 2019 and it was renamed as Telangana High Court.

The State of Andhra Pradesh was formed in 1956 by the separation of the merger of the Andhra State which was formed in the year 1953 from erstwhile Madras state and the Telangana area of Hyderabad Deccan which was acceded by Government of India on 17 September 1948 after the Nizams rule. On 1st January 2019, Telangana High Court was bifurcated into Andhra Pradesh High Court and Telangana High Court after the formation of state of Telangana.
