Job Details

Clerk/1Post

Qualification: Graduation Degree or equivalent thereto with at least 60% marks from a recognized University or Institution; and

(ii) Possesses at least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity applications or Desktop Publishing applications from a Government recognized institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO 9001, certified OR Possesses a Computer Information Technology course equivalent to 0' level certificate of Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) of Government of India OR Possesses a regular degree of &Tech Computer Science or MC.

A/BCA or any other equivalent degree; and

(ii) Qualifies a test in English and Punjabi type-writing on typewriter/Computer to be conducted by the appointing authority at the speed of thirty words per minute.

 

c) No person shall be considered to have queried in the written examination unless he obtains at least 50% marks in the aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject 

d) He/she should qualify the typing/Computer test (English and Punjabi) with a minimum speed of 30 wpm 

e) The candidates, who qualify the written examination and typing/competitive test, shall be called for interview/viva voce test before the President of the State Commission, which shall be of 50 marks.

Provided further that no candidate shall be considered to have qualified the type/computer test, if he/she commits more than 8% mistakes 

Note: Appicant must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language 

Steno Typist/1 Post


Qualification: (a) possesses the Bachelors Degree from a recognized University or Institution; (b) possesses at least one hundred and twenty hours course with hands on experience in the use of Personal Computer or Information Technology in Office Productivity application or Desktop Publishing application from a Government recognized institution or a reputed institution, which is ISO 9001, certified; or possesses a Computer Information Technology course equivalent to '0' level certificate of Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Course (DOEACC) of Government of India (e) Qualifies a test in English Stenography to be held by the appointing authority at speed of 80 wp.

m and speed of 20 words per minute in transcription thereof (with permissible mistakes of 8%),to be conducted by the State Commission; and  Qualifies a test in Punjabi typewriting to be held at the speed of 30 words per minute 

Note: Applicant must have passed matriculation with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subject or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi Language 

Age: No person shall be recruited by direct appointment, if he/she is less than eighteen year or more than thirty seven years respectively as on 0101.

About Scdrc chandigarh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission
The Chandigarh State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (SCDRC), Chandigarh is a quasi-judicial commission , which was set up in 1988 under the Consumer Protection Act of 1986. Its office is in Chandigarh. The commission is headed by a sitting or retired judge of the High Court.The commission is presently headed by Justice Jasbir Singh, former judge of the Punjab And Haryana High Court. State Commission deals with the consumer complaints where the value of goods or services and the compensation if any, claimed exceeds Rs.20 lakhs but upto Rs.one crore, filed by the consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986. Under the Act, State Commission acts as Appellate Authority u/s Section 19 of Consumer Protection Act, 1986, Any person aggrieved by an order made by the Commission may prefer an appeal against such order to the National Commission within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of the order.

The Consumer Protection Act, 1986 (In short,‘The Act’) is a benevolent social legislation that lays down the rights of the consumers and provides their for promotion and protection of the rights of the consumers. The first and the only Act of its kind in India, it has enabled ordinary consumers to secure less expensive and often speedy redressal of their grievances. By spelling out the rights and remedies of the consumers in a market so far dominated by organized manufacturers and traders of goods and providers of various types of services, the Act makes the dictum, caveat emptor (‘Buyer Beware’) a thing of the past.

The Act mandates establishment of Consumer Protection Councils at the Centre as well as in each State and District, with a view to promoting consumer awareness.
