Job DescriptionJob Description 100,000+ That's how many patients participate in our clinical trials at any given time GCO is Novartis' powerhouse of Global Clinical Operations, redesigned to enable faster trial recruitment and enhanced trial delivery resulting in more timely access for patients to potential novel treatments Every day, we are the link between science and medicine - imagine the impact you could have as Clinical Operations Learning Head (Tech) #GCOEstablishing and maintaining the knowledge management framework in GCO that enables a dynamic way of working for GCO associates, the Clinical Ops Learning Head (Tech) will enable a 'Learning in Flow of Life' concept (knowledge management enabled, role specific, just in time learning) through innovative learning technology Curate and syndicate content on the GCO Knowledge Management Platform.

Implements innovative learning approaches and technology to maximize learning Leverage LMSs (eg UP4Growth, Novartis Connect) to its full capacity to maximize just in time learning, compliance oversight and training effectiveness checks.

Manage administration of LMS for all GCO associates Manage 3rd party / vendor training Manage Novartis Connect for training of Site Personnel.

Manage GCO non-GxP systems, tools & tech training (coming from eg BITS) Managing the Bite Sized Learning Factory Leverage existing technologies and explore new technologies to enhance learning efficiency and GCO learners' uptake and retention.

Leverage technology as well the learning management system to enable learners' easy access to training as well as managers robust oversight (eg learning metrics) Engage with LMS central team/NOLI to trigger LMS improvement initiatives to improve compliance and audit and inspection readiness.

Leads / member of multi-functional teams as appropriate to develop and implement multi-disciplinary learning solutions, capability building or initiatives Leads a team of specialized Learning Managers and/or specialists to develop and deploy learning solutions based on instructional design and adult learning principles.

Represents GCO learning in learning technology / innovation boards within Novartis Diversity & Inclusion / EEO Minimum Requirements What you'll bring to the role: 10+ years' experience in the drug development process (ie planning/executing/managing and/or monitoring clinical trials).

Proven experience of leading in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams Intercultural awareness Thorough understanding of drug development process, including expert knowledge of international standards (GCP/ICH), health authorities (eg.

FDA/EMEA), and Novartis GCP-standards Significant experience in training and capability building in drug development with regards to the design and development of training concepts with cross-functional teams, performance consulting and measuring training effectiveness Expertise in management of LMS and L&D systems.

Strong people management, communication, tech savviness, interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Fluent English (verbal and written) Degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline Additional degree/certification in adult learning and development preferred.
