1. Be the source of knowledge for building out a large scale, cross functional implementation of Snowflake
2. Develop a cloud data warehouse architecture that is optimized for growth both internally and in our products
3. Drive efficiencies into our data platform by working with our engineering teams to optimize the storage and sharing of data inside and out of the organization
4. Ensure that the data that goes into our cloud data warehouse is secured.
   
   

The TeamThe mission of the Data and Analytics team is to empower our customers to get signals and insights from data to achieve their goals and secondly, to enable our business to gain timely operational insights at scale Enterprise data and analytics team is a key differentiator and growth driver for Bonterra to scale our revenue This is a dynamic team responsible for providing frameworks, tools, strategies, and methods to enable a data as an asset infrastructure that drives our most valued business decisions and customer success The RoleThis critical technical role leading will ensure that our cloud data warehouse is best in class with respect to design This role is responsible for ensuring that our data is secure and stays secure by using the multitude of security mechanisms within the platform.

This role will drive a database architecture which has the simplicity required to drive efficiencies in data processing and storage This role will be key partner to the data and analytics engineering functions within a high performing data platform team

1. Responsible for implementation and on-going administration of Snowflake Cloud Data Platform
2. Advise and manage the database architecture to support efficient data processing and data sharing across snowflake instances
3. Own Snowflake security aspects, AD Authentication, RBAC authorization and data obfuscation
4. Manage and optimize snowflake spend by developing a monitoring capability across instancesand develop a utilization and capacity plan
5. Performance tuning of Snowflake workload, cluster config, scripts, and code
6. Analyze job execution issues and resolve by working collaboratively with data and analytics engineers
7. Guide solution for HA, Backup and DR solution for Snowflake
8. Work with data delivery teams to setup new Snowflake instances in AWS
9. Evaluate and implement new initiatives on technology and process improvements

QualificationsExpert-level experience and qualifications to be successful in this role include:

1. 5+ years' experience with Snowflake Database administration, set up, and data engineering experience
2. 5+years' experienceworking with SQL and Python
3. 5-7years' experiencein building relational Databases,Data Warehouse and Data marts
4. Hand-on experience dealing withsensitive data including personally identifiable information
5. Excellent performance and tuning skills of large workloads in cloud data warehouses
6. Demonstrated proficiency of index clustering design and query plan optimization

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field
