Who we are looking forSTT India Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is hiring for 'Vice President - Head of India Global Competency Centers who will be based in Hyderabad officeWhy this role is important to usThe goal of Enterprise Risk Management ('ERM') is to ensure that State Street's risks are proactively identified, well-understood, and prudently managed in support of our business strategy We are committed to excellence, professionalism, and integrity in serving interests of our internal and external stakeholdersERM operates as a Second Line of Defence ('SLoD') control function independent of the First Line of Defence ('FLoD'), responsible for setting the Corporate Risk Appetite developing policies and procedures to evaluate whether risks are contained within the appropriate limits monitoring risk-taking and providing credible review and challenge to the FLoD risk management practicesThe candidate will be responsible to manage and grow ERM's India Global Competency Centers (GCC), including end to end planning, design, hiring and execution.

What you will be responsible forAs per the role you will
  • Manage, lead and grow ERM's India Global Competency Center (GCC) covering:
  • Existing Risk Reporting Services ('RRS') function (30 FTE across India and Poland), currently producing 330 monthly reports for BRM, Compliance and ERM
  • existing Centralized Modelling and Analytics GCC (4 FTE)
  • existing non-RRS ORM teams in India (2FTE)
  • new analyze, plan, establish project management framework to expand the ERM footprint in India during 2023 and 2024
  • Excellent people management skills required to manage a diverse existing team of 36 FTE across 3 locations with growth expected Responsible for hiring, talent development, and employee engagement
  • Mature stakeholder engagement with a) broader ERM executive leadership, b) global ERM functional leadership and, c) India Hub based executive leaderships
  • Design and run service delivery governance structures for activities, including SLAs, KPIs, etc,
  • Drive continued automation of the existing tasks under the ORM Competency Center such as the non-financial reporting book, delivering year on year productivity gains and quality enhancement through greater usage of data visualization and data warehouse capabilities.

  • Deliver improvements in productivity and resiliency across the existing India Hub GCC footprint through redesign of the operating model, rebalancing of work across the footprint, cross-training, etc,
  • Foster a strong risk culture and control environment amongst teams
  • Work with diverse ERM stakeholders to analyze and identify additional tasks suitable for ERM's India GCCs, and develop plans and an execution framework Timely execute upon migration plans, delivering planned savings with minimal disruption to business service delivery
  • Standardize and re-engineer operating model(s) for delivery for newly migrated activities, delivering productivity, resiliency and quality improvements

Education & Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 + years risk experience and 15+ years of financial institutions experience
  • Experience in Financial Service industry / Banks a plus
  • Relevant professional qualifications a plus
