Manager - Quality & Risk Management Lead Deloitte Global Financial Advisory 'DGFA' Mumbai (A Global Centre of Excellence) Quality and Risk Management A career in Quality & Risk Management in Financial Advisory at Deloitte Global Financial Advisory India Private Limited is a key link in the delivery of quality work we provide to 20+ Deloitte Member Firms 'MF' across the world, putting you in the position of trusted advisor to the business and the Deloitte network of member firms that utilize the DGFA Our role is not only to protect the reputation and brand of Deloitte, but to empower the business to enhance the quality of our work and our Member Firm relationships, while understanding how to balance the risk You will actively work together with DGFA leadership and Member Firms to drive quality, risk management and ethics into every decision and every action by c 400+ DGFA people DescriptionReporting to the leadership team of the DGFA practice as well as reporting into a number of Global Deloitte Member Firms, the jobholder will help to develop, monitor and implement the quality and risk management (QRM) programme and procedures on engagement and other business support services the DGFA provides to the various Member Firms.

Supporting the DGFA in establishing both the First and Second Lines of Defence required by Deloitte Global Risk This includes but is not limited to:
  1. Contractual arrangements between DGFA and Member Firms - review, analysis and input on all matters relating to risk
  2. Data security - understanding, monitoring and enforcing protocols around data handling/data security required by each MF (use of VDI, access to MF/DGFA shared drives etc),
  3. Data protection laws - develop and maintain knowledge of relevant requirements in each MF country and ensuring our business is fully aligned to those
  4. Other applicable laws - develop an understanding of all other relevant laws and regulations that may impact the DGFA business and services it provides to other MF's
  5. Take on/ Engagement Acceptance/Conflict mitigation/Independence - develop QRM policies and procedures aligned to MF requirements
  6. Risk analysis on projects and practice development matters such as new service offerings and software solutions
  7. QRM project management - assessment and improvements of current QRM policies and procedures including templates and manuals
  8. Developing strong monitoring and reporting processes for all of the above,
  9. Development of a DGFA Risk Register and regularly reporting results to relevant MF's
  10. Testing and developing Business Continuity planning for the DGFA
  11. Testing and developing enhanced employee vetting processes where required by the MF
  12. Enable a strong sense of risk management and accountability at all grades of FA staff
  13. Delivery of internal training and involvement in practice reviews
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in Big 4 accountants or reputable law firms (with appropriate accounting/legal qualifications)
  • Knowledge and experience in quality, risk and regulatory matters
  • Strong sense of integrity and responsibility.

  • Strong prioritization skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Good initiative and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Attention to detail and excellent time management
  • Able to provide solutions effectively addressing QRM challenges while taking into consideration business needs and legal and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication and excellent oral and writing skills
