  These are large scale distributed systems handling millions of packages being shipped through our network
• At Amazon Shipping Foundation Technologies (ASFT), we are looking for Software Development Engineers with solid Software engineering fundamentals involving solving complex problems
• They will get to work on some of the key initiatives planned to support our rapid evolution and growth of the transportation network and in the process solve some of the most challenging problems
• This role requires technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and ability to hit the ground running You will be responsible for solving algorithmically complex problems, front end and backend services that can scale to millions of requests and deployed globally delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Basic Qualifications

Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming knowledge in Java and frameworks such as JEE/Spring/Hibernate
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Ability to learn new languages and technologies quickly
• Knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies
