/Eqvt : Rs4984/-per month, Diploma : Rs3542/-per month, ITI : 90% of the wages payable per month to the semi-skilled workmen as fixed by latest Karnataka Govt.

Selection Process : Graduate Apprentice Trainees (BE/BTech/Equivalent) Diploma Apprentice Trainees/ ITI Apprentice Trainees: Depending upon the vacancies available in various disciplines, selection of candidates will be carried out by short listing on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying exam followed by Screening test/Interview Screening test / Interview (or) both may be conducted at GTRE, Bengaluru for Graduate/Diploma & ITI apprentices as per dates announced in DRDO Website depending upon the number of applicants reporting for interview at GTRE, Bengaluru.

DRDO was formed in 1958 from the amalgamation of the then already functioning Technical Development Establishment (TDEs) of the Indian Army and the Directorate of Technical Development & Production (DTDP) with the Defence Science Organisation (DSO). DRDO was then a small organisation with 10 establishments or laboratories. Over the years, it has grown multi-directionally in terms of the variety of subject disciplines, number of laboratories, achievements and stature.
