Qualification

• Junior Stenographer: Graduation or equivalent qualification with shorthand typing.
  
  (The typing speed of a candidate for English can be 40 words per minute and 80 words per minute in shorthand)
• Junior Stenographer HOD: Graduation in Arts, Science, Commerce or such other qualifications as are equivalent to graduation examination with knowledge of computer skill
• Clerk and Librarian: Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2 or its Equivalent) with basic knowledge in computer application
• Junior Typist and Junior Store Keeper: Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2 or its Equivalent) with basic knowledge in computer application
• Junior Store Keeper: Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2 or its Equivalent) with basic knowledge in computer application

Age Limit

• Junior Stenographer: 21 to 38 years
• Junior Stenographer HOD: 21 to 38 years

• Junior Store Keeper: 18 to 38 years

Age Relaxation: 5 years for SEBC, SC, ST, Women,10 years for PWD

Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was set up by Govt. of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1994 for carrying out direct recruitment against Group-C & Group-B posts in the State cadre. There are more than 140 different cadres of posts/ services under various Departments of Government against which recruitments are made through this Commission. .
