WHAT YOU'LL DOAs a Knowledge Expert (KE) within BCG's Global Advantage Practice Area (Market Acceleration / Go-to-Market in Emerging Markets Topic which is about driving Go-to-market strategy in Emerging Markets by accelerating sales & distribution growth levers), you will work in a growing global team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights to clients and case teams You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory You will collaborate closely with business leaders, acting as a thought partner in providing advice and client-credible insight, for proposals, client work-shops and commercial campaigns in the domainThe Global Advantage practice's objective is to help clients achieve global competitive advantage by leveraging opportunities and threats arising in and from Emerging Markets (EMs) We support 'incumbents' from developed economies and 'challengers' from EMs.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

• 10+ years of industry experience preferred (7+ years at a strict minimum), and/or 5+ year of consulting experience (top tier company)
• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, with demonstrated high academic achievement
• Specialization in relevant topic sector - Market Acceleration / Go To Market in Emerging Markets
• Demonstrated expertise in sales & distribution function (especially experience in FMCG & Industrial Goods Industry)
• Experience or minimally interest in global operating models (Fractal)
• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
• Excellent interpersonal communication and client handling skills
• Fluency in English
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONThe Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insightBCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information KT members also support the PA's business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clientsRole Summary

• Support the Topic Leader(s) to further build the Market Acceleration and Fractal Advantage topics including growing commercial footprint as well as BCG's intellectual property
• Deliver projects & initiatives to support the advancement & commercialization of the Practice Area
• Directly manage a team of subject matter experts in delivering these offerings to project teams.
  
  This includes staffing management, mentoring and career development, managing day-to-day team activities
• Be accountable for the team's KPIs on billability, work quality, and topic/sector content development
• Play a critical linkage to other analytics teams in the firm to deliver a seamless service offering
• Regularly partner with MAC and Fractal in EM leadership, expert consultants and knowledge team members to seamlessly deliver best practice market research support and proprietary commercial assets and offerings
• Partner closely with senior business leaders to own end-to-end proprietary data and tools core to MAC and Fractal in EM commercial offerings.
  
  Deployment of these assets includes providing timely and value-added service offerings for BCG users and clients while ensuring integrity and confidentiality
• In addition, the expert will be required to actively support development of publications, reports and articles
• The Team Manager will also be expected to support client teams and contribute towards case work where needed whilst retaining focus online management responsibilities
