• leads technically the team of 10 FOSS engineers and FOSS SME's
• Identify the open source scope of each individual project also including the vendor FOSS
• Guides the development teams on risk identification and - solving, alternatives on restricted sources and drives automation of FOSS scans (Shift left, eg Local Build plugins, CICD pipeline)
• Plans and schedules the team to analyze FOSS matters under various usage situations, contributions, counseling engineers on compliance risks and provide alternative solutions on FOSS usage.
  
  
• Open source license issues/conflicts mediator with the help of the internal and (if existent) external legal department
• Moderation of internal OSRB (Open Source Review Board) Process
• Plan and schedule cross functional activities worldwide in different regions Activities include: maturity level reviews, preparation for customer audits, assisting project team with process adherence, gap resolutions and successful project execution
• Define and execute the Quality Plan in accordance with organizational BMS and ASPICE standards for large programs

Mandatory Qualifications:

• SME level knowledge of Free Open Source Software Components (FOSS) and types of OSS licenses
• Legal Way of thinking to provide solutions in case of Legal Obligations , License conflicts and incompatibilities
• Advise Development teams on implementation, configuration and integration of compliance software (BlackDuck, Flexera, Scan Toolkit, Fossology)
• OSS analysis and management tools (Black duck or similar: Palamida, Open Logic) will be required
• Linux OS Knowledge, understanding and basic commands
• Demonstrated understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
