Member Technical Staff R&D, FormalityThe Formality business is about using a formal verification comparison to prove or disprove the equivalence of two given designs and presents any differences for follow-on detailed analysis As design and power intent progress through different stages of development, it goes through transformation like synthesis, place& Route, CTS etc and may not remain equivalent to behavioral version which was validated for functionality It is imperative therefore to do equivalence of design and power intent as it progresses through different stages Formal verification uses mathematical techniques to compare the logic to be verified against a logical specification or a reference design It is quite a challenge to do formal equivalence without needing any vectors for two designs.

This helps reduce re-spin due to functional issuesJob Descriptions & RequirementsFormality and low power products are chartered to bring in next generation flows to cater to expanding design s as well as newer functional needs involving two design two UPF equivalence This position in addition would be chartered to lead, develop, and support Formality India teamsWe are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and high-caliber individual to provide technical leadership in the development of design flows, tool development and support for Formality, to help the organization scale operations during its pursuit for gaining more market share and displacement of competition The candidate will actively help in technical mentoring, enhancealgorithms, learn engines, create prototypes etc.

Device new solutions using formal or AI/ML technologies Become a technical anchor for rest of the R&D team Additional responsibilities include:

• Work on scaling challenges in formal verification for performance and capacity
• Engage in continuous improvement of efficiency and quality of flows
• Has strong desires to learn and explore new technologies and demonstrates good analysis and problem-solving skills
• Usually developing professional expertise and may apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
  
  
• At a minimum, has working knowledge of work area and general proficiency with tools, systems, and procedures required to accomplish the job
• Exercises judgment to determine appropriate action Implementations and solutions are reviewed for accuracy and overall adequacy
• Builds productive internal/external working relationships

Job Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Engineering with 20+ years of relevant industry experience
• Strong experience in the fields of design, methodology and EDA solutions for leading edge digital SOC chip designs.
  
  
• Experience managing complex projects and working with multiple stakeholders
• Experience hiring and building small/medium d teams, working with junior engineers
• Deep understanding of software development
• Highly experienced and thorough knowledge of industry EDA tools and technologies
• Proven communicator with a track record of delivering technical solutions and satisfying customers
• Excellent teamwork, communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills with both internal teams and external customers

Preferred skills:

• Experience on development of complex software projects, proficiency with C/C++ coding, and a strong background in data structures and algorithms
• Proficiency with software development using Python/Perl/TCL
• Knowledge of Distributed processing, machine learning techniques, big data
• Experience with version control tools like Perforce
• Demonstrated technical expertise in the productization of advanced technologies
• Experience in Formal methods, and equivalence concepts is a strong plus
• Experience with Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog
