Qualification

Stenographer Grade II
i. Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised Board .
ii. English shorthand at a speed of 120 words per minutes
iii English typewriting at a speed of 40 words per minutes.

Librarian
i) Master’s Degree, preferably in a Science or Social Science subject, from a recognised university or equivalent.
ii) Degree in Library Science from a recognised university or equivalent
iii) 3 years’ experience in a Library/Documentation Centre of repute

Staff Nurse
i) Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery .
ii) Should be registered as ‘A’ Grade Nurse with a State Nursing Council.

Technical Assistant (Lab.)
i) Higher Secondary (with science subjects) from recognised Board and Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognised Institution OR B.Sc. (With chemistry as a subject) from a recognised University or equivalent.
ii) 2 years’ experience of working in a research laboratory.

Sr. Technical Assistant (Doc.)
i) Degree of a recognised University or equivalent.
ii) Degree in Library Science from a recognised university or equivalent
iii) One years’ experience of documentation work in a Librarumentation Centre of repute.

Assistant Research Officer (HG)
i) Master’s Degree in Behavioal Sciences/Economics/ Statistics/ Demography I Operation Research / Management Sciences I Public Administration/ Environmental Sciences/Education/Public Health Nursing etc. (as per requirement of the post) of a recognized Univrsity or equivalent.
ii) 2 years expereince of conducting research/evaluation in the concerned discipline.

Technical Assistant (Press)
1. Higher Secondary or equivalent from a recognized Board.
2 Diploma in Reporgraphy or Printing Technology with specialization off-set printing.
3. 3 years experience of running modern automatic off set printing machine in Government organisation or a press of Repute.

Age limit:
1. Stenographer Grade II-Not exceeding 25 years
2. Librarian-Not exceeding 30 years
3. Staff Nurse-Not exceeding 25 years
4. Technical Assistant (Lab.)-Not exceeding 25 years
5. Sr. Technical Assistant (Doc.)-Not exceeding 30 years
6. Assistant Research Officer (HG)-Not exceeding 30 years
7. Technical Assistant (Press)-Not exceeding 28 years

The National Institute of Health and Family Welfare (NIHFW), was established on 9th March, 1977 by the merger of two national level institutions, viz. the National Institute of Health Administration and Education (NIHAE) and the National Institute of Family Planning (NIFP). The NIHFW, an autonomous organization, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, acts as an ‘apex technical institute’ as well as a ‘think tank’ for the promotion of health and family welfare programmes in the country.
