Plan is to establish a team that will become the One stop shop for e2e finance shared service operations across Record to Report (R2R), Purchase to Pay (P2P), Bill to Cash (B2C) and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) for Acquired Businesses with the objective of driving simplification in run operations as well as step change controls compliance thereby releasing business bandwidth to focus on growth agendaMain AccountabilitiesCentral Material Requirement Planning (CMRP) is a process which encompasses a tool in SAP and systems to generate RPM Purchase requisitions for every factory-material-supplier combination as per net requirements generated on the basis IPM based scientific stock norms and total cycle times, on a weekly basis, production plans are released by supply planners for the next 19 weeks The factories then convert these PRs into POs on the suppliers and agree delivery schedules basis the weekly production plans to ensure RPM stock availability to service the production plan OTIF Various MIS reports viz GRR, MSTN, Stock aging, Inventory Norms, DOH, business waste etc.

are generated to aid buyers and factories to manage service levels and RPM inventory in an optimum manner The role specifically includes the following:Job Purpose:
  • Materials Plan loading- To ensure all the plans are loaded for the week, which would sometimes include follow up with planners
  • Factory Hygiene - Weekly, follow up with factories for closing of unwanted Open POs, timely production booking, BOM/PV (production version) Selection, correct tagging of stock esp when there are role changes in the factory
  • MRP Run via BOTs (RPA) - Monitoring, re-run of MRP in some cases when required.

  • PR Conversion activity - Monitor and overseeing the PR conversion activity in SAP and follow up with stakeholders for any help required
  • Material Availability issue (MSTN Response to Procurement) - Monitoring procurement response to validate insufficient MSTNs (Modified Stocks to norms) against variance feedbacks received from factories
  • FSI Report - Monitoring weekly completion of FSI Report (Factory, Supplier, Item combination required for PR generation)
    • FSI Mismatch / Contract Non-availability - This activity typically involves a lot of push/follow up from CMRP procurement team with the buyers to close FSI mismatches
  • Collaboration - The activity where the CMRP procurement team spends almost the entire day (Tuesday) in collaborating with factories, planners and procurement reviewing the material availability category wise for the week and immediate coming weeks Freeze plans which can be complied basis collaboration with these stakeholders
  • Periodic master validation - Remind Buyers to refresh their regular masters, if required on MOQs/PLT and TLT, further keep evolving on it.

  • Revision in masters for season up stocks (winter cold creams/soups/ice-creams)- Critical to coordinate between planners and buyers to ensure timely updates of safety time masters (in particular) before the season
  • SLOB Review -
    • Monthly Review with planners, factories, and procurement on slow moving RPMs This involves monitoring along with these stakeholders the shelf life of the materials and taking calls on:
    • 1 Coordinating with planners to issue FG plans to use up these slow moving/ non-moving materials
    • 2.

      Interunit transfers to units which have plans for these materials
    • 3 Shutting arrivals of these materials for those units pre-planned
    • 4 Coordinating with Procurement to explore if these materials can be sold outside albeit at a lower cost.

    • 5 Coordinate with Planners, factories, and procurement to raise WOP in case if there is no room left to salvage and the material expired
Inventory Reporting:
  • 1 Share the target inventory with the buyers and send daily tracker on actuals
  • 2.

    Issue details on receipts and consumption wherever required for buyer to control inventory
  • 3 Liaise with planners to reduce plan bias
  • 4 Facilitate interunit transfers for like materials to help better usage of RPM and control inventory numbers.

  • 5 Maintain regular dialogues with the buyers to reduce MOQs where the requirements are lower
Inventory Control:
  • PO push backs - To coordinate with suppliers for deferring deliveries not required and hence avoiding inventory accumulation/control At the same time liaising with the factories to correct the revised delivery dates so that supplier OTIF compliance is on-track
  • To provide daily inventory movement on key materials to buyers to take right calls on buy/hold
Volume Coordination for contracting:Typically, the long-term requirements(19 weeks/ Quarterly/Annually) extrapolated by CG have disproportionate differences as per buyers Buyers do a sense check vis--vis last year spend quantity and revert to CMRP procurement team raising doubts on the sanctity of the numbers (variance).

CMRP Team will have to then coordinate with Supply Planners and share buyers' consensus' and get the numbers re-vetted
  • SNCR/OTIF - While CG shares these KPIs in principle, CMRP team coordinates with the buyers' driving improvement in these areas (SNCR and OTIF)
  • NTPO - Taking lead in challenging the factories on NTPO non-compliance Get proper justifications with buyers' approvals for non-compliance in issuing Manual PO
  • Volume Analysis
