Senior Engineer Purchase Job In Emerson In India, Chennai

• Get the materials on On-time with assigned suppliers
• Expedite the delivery with vendors to support short LT customer orders
• Monitor the vendor performance periodically & get improvement plan for failure cases
• Worked with vendors to kill overdue items
• Ensure staggered delivery for AA & A parts to improve delivery frequency.
  
  
• To ensure zero Discrepancies in Open order backlog
• Monitor open order trend & checking the surge capacity with vendors for future
• Communicate the ordering personnel about current situation of vendors, constraints & any other updates
• Cost savings in purchase value through indigenization & effective negotiation
• Maintaining material master, pattern master, rate contracts & other purchase related documents up to date for effective purchasing

• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering with foundry knowledge & relevant experience
• Min 8 years experience

• Should have knowledge on foundry & forging process.
  
  
• Should have excellent negotiation & Soft Skill for effective interaction with Vendor
• Should have knowledge in MS office for open order status update & presentation
• Should have abilities to create a source which suits organization needs
• Maintain good relationship with vendor for enhancing supply chain activities
• Awareness about EMS & ISO 45001 practices
• Experience in ISO 14001:2015 - ISO 45001:2018 - ISO 9001:2015 procedures & instructions.
