  • Understanding of Coding standards, Design patterns and guidelines Understanding on source control, versioning, branching, etc
  • Good understanding of software development life cycle using Agile / Waterfall models and Process adherence
  • Strong analytical and problem solving and ability to prioritize and organize multiple task.

  • Database - strong RDBMS skills around writing efficient SQL's and complex procedures
  • Familiar with Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reference Data Management is a plus
  • Good Knowledge with Control M, JIRA, Remedy, ETL process, Hadoop
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and frameworks
  • Good Experience with Unix / Linux and batch scripting is a plus.

  • Self-managing and ability to lead project solution end-to-end
  • Good Experience in DevOps Integration and Deployment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with JIRA and Confluence

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Hands-on experience with Hadoop (eg MapReduce, Spark, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume)
  • Exposure to ecosystem technologies -Storm and Kafka / Spark is highly desirable
  • Exposure to NOSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc).

  • Excellent Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and commands
  • Excellent Knowledge of DW, ETL concepts
  • Experience with major Hadoop distros and platforms like Cloudera, Hortonworks, mapR, etc is essential
  • Certifications from Cloudera, Hortonworks etc, is an added advantage.
