Our solutions are a key part of most industries - electronics, medical research, renewable energy, food production, infrastructure and many more Working with us means working with the latest technologies and groundbreaking, sustainable innovationsJoin us on our journey for a better tomorrowYour RoleMission of the job:To support the integration of GECIA's services in Vacuum Technique Business Area in establishing 'First in Mind, First in Choice' for its Semi Vacuum division, Chamber solutions division and Semi Vacuum Service division As Team Leader, the incumbent is required to support Business Head / Program Lead in the market for GECIA services and be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the business leads with the Practice Team.

Build & develop the Project management team Maintain the effective utilization of the teamAccelerate successful delivery of New Product Introduction projects at lower cost Augment NPI engineering capacity, primarily by initiating and expanding use of Atlas Copco engineering services provider (GECIA)The Team Leader will closely work with local engineering teams and internal competence teams, identifying opportunities to reduce project timeline, dependencies and cost, by leveraging GECIA competencies.

S/He will build a solid working relationship with all internal customers to ensure effective service provision meets Engineering targets on Timelines, Quality and CostThis position will report to Program Lead - VTBAMain responsibilities & Key Area's:
  • Manage team of high potential, enthusiastic project management professionals
  • Build business relationship with internal partner & service provider, Atlas Copco GECIA
  • Work closely with Product Company Engineering team to identify outsourcing activities and create pipeline of projects
  • Create a culture where outsourcing to internal service provider GECIA, is perceived as an extension of the product company engineering team
  • Develop effective communication of engineering requirements for off-site task / activity execution, including encouraging 1:1, engineer to engineer communications for increased understanding and efficiency
  • Ensure outsourcing activity has well defined scope, timeline, quality & cost
  • Establish rigor and governance to ensure smooth execution and delivery of outsourced activities on time, with quality and on budget.

  • Active engagement with Engineering team, Outsourcing partner, respective stakeholders and sponsor will be key
Customer Focus
  • Build & develop the team for Project Management activities
  • Coordinator for various Divisional projects
  • Create & maintain various Dashboards providing clear KPI overview on Planning, resource availability, work in hand and quality
  • Communicate progress and deliverable updates to the stakeholders, raise red flags and highlight any concerns to all stakeholders.

    Demonstrate GECIA's contribution to all the projects
  • Collaborate with projects and practice teams internally on day-to-day basis to ensure that these teams continue to meet & exceed the customer expectations
  • Regular Quality follow up for GV
  • Identify innovative ways of Atomizing the existing processes of Product company which help to execute the project with high accuracy & in more effective way
  • Target General Vacuum Divisions to ensure rapid and accelerated introduction of Emerging Services of GECIA through active product & value demonstrations.

  • To forecast the sales development periodically and track & report status of growth, activities planned for future, forecast, red flags, support required etc monthly
  • To maintain a healthy & forward-looking relationship with the divisional leadership teams & Practice team
  • Communicate progress and deliverable updates to the stakeholders, raise red flags and highlight any concerns to all stakeholders
People Focus
  • Create and develop subject matter experts in various domains, who in turn can establish GECIA firmly as competence centre.

  • Develop the team based on the Skills & Competence matrix
  • Create the Team spirit towards Driving Customer Success & Improving Business Results
  • Instil 'CAN DO WILL DO' attitude in the team
  • Help Team members identify their purpose Provide inputs for performance review and planning Suggest improvement areas and Mentor team
  • Maintain a positive team moral with an open atmosphere of teamwork and co-operation.

Operational Excellence
  • Create, Develop & Maintain a Resource Planning Mechanism to deliver optimum resource utilization bringing in agility and maintaining synergy between work complexity and skill matrix
  • Fully understand & adapt to Activity based costing, to allow optimum mix, better alignment of GECIA resources & Partner Resources and define work to be carried out by Vendors and GECIA resources
Process Focus
  • Create, Develop & maintain the Knowledge & skill management Portals, Databases, etc to document the knowledge about Product, Process, People & Tool Identify trainings required by the team.

  • Map the processes followed in Product Companies
To succeed, you will need Skills :
  • Must have excellent influencing and communication skills at multiple organisational levels, including up to executive level
  • Has the ability to communicate effectively at various organisational levels and with different cultures
  • Must be able to analyse complex program requirements and identify key phases and workstreams
  • Well organised, displaying clear, rational and analytical approach to problem solving and planning
  • Remains calm under pressure and can find creative and pragmatic solutions
  • Willing to look for / explore new solutions or methods
  • Proven ability to manage complex Engineering projects
  • Displays clear leadership willing to take ownership and control of a situation and bring people with him/her even though they may not functionally report to him/her
  • Ability to manage performance of 3rd party service providers
  • Fluent English speaker, knowledge of other languages is plus
  • Knowledge of engineering design, project management and Team management is essential
  • Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications/Education/Certifications:
  • Bachelor's (or higher) degree in Engineering, Science, or closely related discipline
  • Recognised Project or Program Management certification desirable
Experience:
  • Proven work experience of 10+ years, 3-5 years of experience in managing & leading high trust teams
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver large complex programs (Engineering Programs) to closure, preferably in an industrial business.

  • Previous supervisory or functional management experience in one or more departments in an engineering / manufacturing company is desirable
  • Previous change management project participation or lead is desirable
