Job DescriptionAML L1 Alerts AnalystResponsibilities: Complete the initial review of customer account activity flagged by the Bank's automated monitoring system Write a comprehensive analysis of the account activity which includes a detailed disposition as to why an alert is being closed or escalated for further review Retaining strong records of all information relied upon to complete a disposition of an alert Maintaining a high degree of knowledge of appropriate BSA and OFAC l aws and regulations Working with the Bank's Financial Intelligence Unit to identify and report potentially suspicious activity Interacting with branch personnel regarding unusual activity to determine if an appropriate resolution can be reached.

Performing other related duties as assigned by the Alert Disposition Team Leader and BSA Manager of the Financial Intelligence UnitRequirements: Ability to read, write, and speak English at professional proficiency required Ability to speak and read French/ Japanese, and any other EMEA or Asia-Pacific languages will be an added advantage Degree in Banking / Finance / Business with 1-2 years financial services experience in one or a combination of the following: fraud, Bank Secrecy Act, anti-money laundering, investigations of financial crimes transactions or compliance Must have prior experience with reviewing and working alerts, preferably in the financial intelligence unit of financial institution, as well as analyzing or managing financial crime investigative processes.

Process oriented coupled with a strong ability to develop appropriate program enhancing strategies Detail orientated and well organized and proficient in Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint is highly preferred Ability to work all three shiftsDesired Candidate ProfileBACHELOR OF COMMERCE
