Sr Technical Engineer - Solaris OperationsThe Infrastructure Operations Engineer supports administration of central and/or local data centres, legacy and/or centralized infrastructure, standards and requirements and provides support for the availability of Vodafone IT applications and Data Centre activities and database environments The Infrastructure Operations Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in internal network infrastructure, data availability and technical support for customers (internal and external) gained through extensive practical experience and works with the colleagues to deliver monitoring of hardware and software in datacentres, and executes event/incident, configuration, escalation, release, deployment and 3rd party database management activities Typically reports to the Infrastructure Operations Manager#_VOISJob Responsibility

• Provides multilevel Technical support for diagnosing, reproducing and fixing Solaris/Oracle UNIX Hardware and OS issues/problems
• Responsible for managing Server related Incidents/Service Requests and Change Requests within the defined SLA
• Excellent and goodlevel of Expertise in Solarisadministration, Troubleshooting, Virtualizations (Zones & LDOMs), VxVM and Basic understanding of Cluster environment
• Provide recommendations to improve and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis
• Actively contributes to the troubleshooting, performance tuning of UNIX servers.
  
  Perform necessary UNIX infrastructure maintenance activities and migration, as required
• Should be able to collaborate across products/vendors and geography to come up with a compelling solution
• Required to work as on-call support to provide 24x7 support'
• 'Success delivery of technical talks, changes within SLA with 0 Fatal errors
• At least 2 training per quarter Skill Enhancement through Technology Academy, Classroom Training -5 days in a Year '
• 'Solaris, Cluster, DC infrastructure, Virtualization, ITIL / Service Management, Change and Configuration Management'
