TPX is intended to help the business make more effective decisions in the in the areas of Net Revenue Management (NRM) and Promotion planning within the iOPS program The role will be expected to blend the expertise of Product Management, Business Consultancy, Data Analysis and Business Intelligence to design, develop and govern the solutions These prototypes if successful will be expected to be scaled where the Data Engineer will be expected to partner technical teams and cover the key aspects of data required to deliver information and analytics capabilities for Customer Development teamsKey Accountabilities
  • Work with senior leaders to understand business problems, design needs and deliver excellent analytical solutions to address Unilever's trade spend challenges
  • Design and innovate new features driven by global needs to ensure TPA continues to deliver value on evolving business needs.

  • Review and share feedback on market initiated CRs to ensure alignment with the global product roadmap
  • Maintain and govern global product principles, integration design, logics and KPIs to support deployment managers in landing TPX product into the market
  • Recommend data logics and/or requirements for multi-platform integrations
  • Lead market engagement in translating global change request into analytics requirements and developing working prototypes for obtaining signing off for build
All About You (We are looking for someone who thrive working with both technical teams and commercial business teams Ensuring a healthy balance between global scale and local relevancy of the solutions is also the key expectation to this role.

  • Experience working with business leaders to drive definition, alignment, and support for application of analytics and data to address complex business issues (eg centralization of promotion spending decisions)
  • Experience with developing an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) data pipeline using R and/or Python in Azure Databricks or relevant IDE
  • Ability to rapidly connect and match analytics and data products to business needs
    • Expert knowledge of an analysis tool such as Python (PySpark), R, SQL, Matlab or SAS
    • Experience working with large data sets, experience working with distributed computing tools a plus (Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc)
    • Working knowledge to apply Microsoft Azure analytics product to develop scaled analytic models in the cloud
  • Ability to apply an agile analytic approach that allows for results at varying levels of precision
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative insights in a precise, and actionable manner
Desirable Experience
  • Experience of working as a data engineer, data analyst or business analyst is preferred
  • Experience deploying analytics product from design to business go-live is preferred
  • Bachelor/Masters Degree in a relevant field (Business Analytics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Econometrics, or Mathematics) is preferred
