Job DescriptionJob Description 28,000 associates of more than 100 nationalities deliver high quality and affordable medicine on time, every time, safely and efficientlyYour responsibilities include, but not limited to: Purpose : To be responsible for one category in one country and support the implementation of Category Strategy and Annual Category Plan, deliver projects and initiatives, and implement Supplier Performance and Innovation to support the Category leadership with the day-to-day activities of Category management Support the development of the Category Strategy and the Annual Category Plan, as required by the Global Category Lead.
Implement sourcing business plan for area of responsibility Deploy actions within categories, support the development of Category targets, and deliver savings targets where appropriate Support the aggregation of all Category level data across Divisions to inform the top-down target setting process.
Support the collection of supplier, market, Category and internal business information at both the Category and sub-category levels Collaborating across boundaries functional breadth major change Operations Management and Execution Organization Scope Scale and Complexity Representing the organization Proficiencies - Technical / Functional Skills & Knowledge, Internal and external Customer needs analysis & satisfaction studies and negotiating Root Cause Analysis, Vendor Management and Problem-SolvingDiversity & Inclusion / EEO Minimum Requirements What you'll bring to the role: Assist the coordination of materials for supplier segmentation processes, as defined by the Novartis Supplier Performance and Innovation Framework and advised by the Global Category Lead.
Supports the tracking and documentation of risk and issue management for the category Facilitate contract management and execution (Cross-Divisional/Pharma spend Understand applied practice, concepts and process in one or more procurement subject areas 1/2 (e.
g category management, negotiation, contracts, systems and processes, project or information management)Desirable: University/Advanced degree with strong preference in Business, Finance, or Scientific field is required with English - fluent written/spoken, French & Turkish foreign languages are plus Overall relevant work experience of 4+ years and hands on experience in category management, negotiation, contracts, systems and processes, project or information management.
