DescriptionSoftware testing - Automated Driving functionsAbout our team:We build & test best-in-class software for Autonomous driving functions for Mercedes Benz passenger cars We are a team of talented engineers working in a global network to develop the next generation of Driver Assistance features used in all Mercedes Benz cars sold globallyAbout the role:The role is responsible for verifying whether all software requirements are fulfilled, whether the implementation is robust at unit level, for Vehicle Adaptation Layer software functions These functions are currently at alpha stage of development The role will have to work closely with software function developers to clarify SW requirements, define test specification, implement & deliver test cases using simulation tools, to find implementation errors.
Key responsibilities for the role:Secure well documented software requirements by clarifying with software function developerDefine test specification to verify the software requirements, ensuring traceability between SW requirements and testsImplement software tests using frameworks such as NVidia drivesim, google test frameworkImplement test automation using Python-based test frameworks.
Implement & update unit tests using Gtest, VectorcastAbilities:Skills and knowledge:Must have good knowledge in C++, PythonISTQB certification is preferredUnit test frameworks: Gtest, Vectorcast.
Experience in writing software test specificationsExperience in using ADAS simulation tools such as NVidia drivesim, Carla, roadrunner is an advantageGood understanding of the SW build environment and build process - compilation, linking, etcExposure to configuration management tools like GIT and requirement management tools, e.
