, will have a start and end date Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager Introduction: The candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, design, development coordination and end user interactions This role primarily requires an extensive knowledge in Java, spring boot, React JS, SQL but with opportunities to work in other technologies You will play a senior developer role in a strategic project to deliver real estate initiative.

The candidate will also be expected to contribute towards ongoing support of the production environment What will you be doing Interact with Business and development teams globally to develop solutions for the application Develop code in Java, React JS and SQL/Oracle.

Complete development tasks assigned to you and review it to make sure that final implemented build meets the coding standard Conduct unit testing and document the results .

Provide support to IT and business colleagues throughout project test phases: prepare test environments co-ordinate test batches liaise with upstream and downstream application teams investigate and resolve defects that may be raised Contribute towards planning of implementation activities, including data migration where appropriate Escalate risks and issues to IT project manager throughout the project lifecycle.

You analyse the solutions provided by the Solution Architect and identify different implementation approaches You engage with any other SME's in case there is an interaction required with component SME .

You will be responsible for maintaining the coding standard document You will make sure that given code is reviewed and unit tested before being sent to colleagues in the testing team Your team will look upon you as a leader and mentor and you will guide them in development challenges or defect understanding and resolution .

You fulfil a senior position within the development function organisation and therefore are responsible for embedding the Barclays values, leading by example What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related major Expertise in Core Java, JavaScript, Spring boot REST API and should be a full stack developer .

Good understanding of SQL server, IDE IntelliJ, Gradle/Maven build and design patterns Hands on experience in React/Redux and Git Agile delivery experience and/or knowledge of Barclays Agile Change Lifecycle (BACL) process Should have good troubleshooting skills .

Strong collaborative skills and experience working across departmental and geographical boundaries Hands on agile delivery experience and/or knowledge of Barclays Agile Change Lifecycle (BACL) process Strong understanding of Agile delivery frameworks and practices (Scrum, Kanban etc) and tools (Rally, Jira, Jenkins etc) Ability to coach and facilitate good communication within the team and with stakeholders .

Understanding of Devops technologies like teamcity, docker and apaas Skills that will help you in the role : Architect, design and develop applications Understanding of the investment banking business, Credit product knowledge, bond or loan syndication knowledge and an understanding of the lifecycle of trades Collaborate with business analysis and systems analysis colleagues in the team to understand requirements and use cases .

Drive creation and integration of web services/databases/legacy systems Design class structure, data models and application frameworks Lead software development activities Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with application quality, coding, UI and Corporate standards, including reviewing alert logs Enforce best practices in architecture / design / coding and monitor guardrails .

Ensure Devops best practice is adopted during the SDLC Interface with business team to assist in conducting business analysis and requirements gathering Collaboration Work with the team, Product Owner and stakeholders, identify, describe, track, prevent and resolve risks and remove or facilitate removal of impediments Work with the Run The Bank team and lead L3 problem analysis and resolution.

Support the Programme Manager in ensuring Barclays governance standards are applied within the team Support the Product Owner and Release Manager, especially with respect to product backlog refinement and release planning Help teams to maximise their sustained output and quality and to maintain team's motivation Gather key data and agile metrics and conduct trend analysis on key data points to support continuous improvement and the removal of future impediments and waste.

Communication Facilitate retrospectives on a frequent basis to identify problems and continuous improvement solutions Communicate and negotiate with Product Owners where appropriate to ensure that build progress is transparently communicated, scope is correctly prioritised, issues resolved efficiently Ensure the development team fully understands the overall programme of work, the deployment schedule, project and resource dependencies.

Engage with multiple teams and disciplines to resolve issues in a timely manner and drive out root cause identification through varied tools and methods Maintain strong communication with relevant teams and stakeholders .
