What's the rolePurpose & Accountabilities:The IT Operations Engineer is responsible in supporting delivery of the day-to-day application and infrastructure services according to the agreed Service Levels and/or Operate Level Agreements They are experts in their field providing efficient and effective support and services whilst ensuring compliancy Depending on area of expertise, the IT Operations Engineer may be part of a DevOps team improving product features and flow reliability and security In areas where there are Business Critical products and applications, the IT Operations Engineer in that role ensures the integrity of the application and infrastructure landscape (in most cases 24 X7), works with appropriate parties for BC incident resolution The IT Operations Manager is also accountable for supportability and transition activities of enhancements and project solutions.

This includes analysing and understanding business functional and non-functional requirements for supportability impact, as well as assessing implications of landscape and portfolio changes and reviewing for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunitiesPrincipal Accountabilities:

• Ensures key services for product lines are measured, monitored, raising alerts when needed
• Responsible for reviewing the landscapes for enhancement and continuous improvement opportunities
• Resolve incidents, conduct port-mortem analysis and review
• Drive efficiencies in systems and process: capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring etc
• Assist projects in operational readiness activities
• Part of product team delivering business capability
• Continuous Improvement activities for landscape enhancement
• Documents solutions to known errors to expedite resolution of incidents and performs root cause analysis to minimize reoccurrence.
  
  

What we need from youSkills & Requirements:

• 5 to 8 years of experience of corporate IT experience
• Minimum Education or Certification: 4-year Degree related to IT
• Self-starter with Good analysis and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated understanding of project management, project finance and the development of business benefits for IT
• Experience in applications support and support processes, specifically ITIL
• Strong stakeholder, interpersonal relationship, and negotiation skills
• Strong relationship and influencing skills to work with multiple (senior) stakeholders across organizational and business boundaries at all levels
• Understanding of business support requirements
• Experience determining costs for applications and solutions
• Experience providing guidance and coaching within a team
• Must be able to identify and analyse dependencies across different solution and services aspects and apply a logical approach in communicating and resolving them with relevant stakeholders
• Self-starter with strong analytical, problem solving and coordination skills - proactive, thinking in solutions and delivering results
