About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Investment Risk Officer who shall contribute to a strong, independent risk management function for investment risk oversight within Wells Fargo The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and interpersonal skills consistent with roles and responsibilities of independent risk management in the Wells Fargo & Co Risk Management FrameworkIn this role, you will:

• Monitor and analyze, on an on-going basis, the risk limits monitoring process created by FIRO and recommend enhancements to the process over time
• Collaborate on key investment risk oversight analysis, provide on-going market monitoring for potential impacts to Wells Fargo clients, and escalate key risk topics to monthly risk oversight forums.
  
  
• Prepare reporting packages and research potential risks for review by Investment Risk Oversight team
• Execute ad-hoc analysis based on prevailing market events in support of FIRO's Investment Risk Oversight team
• Identify areas to improve team efficiency and collaborate with other FIRO team members to implement solutions including automation and development of Tableau dashboards for investment risk analysis purposes
• Advise leadership to develop or influence portfolio risk
• Perform complex activities related to assessing portfolio risk exposures
• Measure and manage fiduciary and investment risk
• Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges to proactively identify, assess, measure, monitor, control, and report on significant fiduciary and investment risks
• Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require the most complex quantitative and analytic models to help manage investment risk
• Make decisions regarding implementation of initiatives with moderate to high risk and partner with risk analysts in development of investment risk oversight strategies
• Influence and lead risk management to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
• Collaborate and consult with management, independent risk management, companywide risk analysts and regulatory agencies to resolve findings and develop investment risk oversight initiatives and strategies
• Mentor and provide work direction to the team

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of capital markets experience, desk analyst experience, or a combination of both

• Experience in Investment Risk, Capital Markets, Trading, Desk Analyst, Investment Analyst, Portfolio Analyst, Investment Management Research, or Investment Services, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Other Desired Qualifications:

• A graduate or higher qualification in business, accounting, finance, statistics, or economics
• Progress towards or achievement of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification
• Experience or exposure with Bloomberg, MSCI Barra and/or FactSet
• Working experience with the investment management industry
• Experience analyzing financial markets and/or financial instruments for risk/return purposes
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
• Demonstrated ability to present and explain ideas in a coherent and consistent manner
• Ability to employ software tools to create risk and performance reporting
• Understanding of financial market instruments including fixed income and derivatives
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across the organization, which includes virtual, matrixed leadership experience
