ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Providing Technical supports for internal users and resolved trouble shooting tickets Configuring and managing user & group accounts Managed users, groups, and ftp accounts, permissions, and security for clients Implementing disk quotas and ACLs for users Configuring crontab and scheduling the jobs.

Creating volumes and managing file system using Logical Volume Manager (LVM) Use of LVM for dynamically extending and reducing partitions Providing psudo access to the users and configuring aliases Installing of software packages and patches Backup and recovery using tools like tar and dump.

Maintenance and administration of Linux, providing support via Ticketing System Taking Daily backup and Daily reports Solving the issues based on customer requirements NFS server configuration and maintenance Configuring File sharing services like NFS, SAMBA and FTP.

Installation, Configuration and Administration of various versions of Red hat Linux Problem diagnosis and troubleshooting of Linux Servers Remote system administration using tools like SSH, Telnet, and Rlogin Configuring and managing Users and groups Implementing sudo on users and on file Systems Administering and monitoring System Performance, disk space and memory.

Partitioning & Disk management using tools, RAID and LVM Good knowledge on backup on Linux files using tar and compressing zip,dd,cpio methods Frequently resolving user related issues, file system related issues and system performance issues as per the SLA defined by the customer Taking care OS and Performance related issues Performing OS patch activity on Linux.

YUM and RPM package installation Configuring NFS server and mount exported NFS resources at the client side NFS Administration, exporting file systems, mounting exported file systems Process management and Performance Monitoring Worked on NTP for time synchronization.

Managed systems routine scheduling jobs and enabling Cron jobs Configured and managed physical volumes, volume groups, and logical volumes, in addition extended PVS, VGS, and LVS for file system growth needs using LVM commands Creating SSH-key for password less authentication Monitoring system Performance of Virtual memory, Managing Swap space, Disk utilization and CPU utilization and performance Worked on server performance and related issues.
