Job description Business: Education, Screening Operations Open positions:1 Role Title:Manager - Education, Senior Trainer/Subject Specialist, Screening Operations GSC'S Global Career Band:6 Location : Hyderabad Recruiter Name : Shrutimahesh Why join us The Education team within the Screening Operations is responsible for delivering technical training and ensuring continuous learning of the staff The Opportunity: Senior Trainer/Subject Specialist - Education - Screening Operations: Responsible for working with stakeholders to develop and execute a broad-based learning and development strategy for Screening Operations teams in Globally connected locations Support training initiatives for tactical business/process learning solutions to meet staff capability needs in line with the strategy The Education Senior Trainer will be largely involved in delivering process training, developing the trainers to the needed level of domain expertise.

They will also work on development of content for new hire, BAU, refresher and continuous learning initiatives They will need to display core subject expertise in Payment Screening Process/domain What you'll do: Impact on the Business/Function
  • Develop Screening operations staff to ensure highly effective, motivated, and committed to add value to the business
  • Support cross-site business growth through effective, timely learning interventions
  • Provide accreditation opportunities to the training team members, support & encouragement for the constant improvement.

  • Share knowledge & experiences with colleagues and BPs by providing:
    • Assistance/guidance on training related initiatives
    • Implement Training Operating Plan/Annual Calendar
    • Deliver high quality customer driven solutions
  • Actively promote self-development and the usage of the different learning channels
  • Monitor the consistency of training delivered through periodic checks to ensure all trainers are consistently meeting quality deliverables Detailed reports of these checks to be recorded and used for performance reviews and audit requirements
Customers / Stakeholders
  • Ensure timely implementation of migrations training schedules by effective learning management of new joiners
  • Periodic review of training content and artefacts and recommend changes that need to be made.

  • Conduct periodic TNAs and build interventions to address gaps Work actively with the QA teams to identify training interventions and work towards active resolution through training interventions
  • Ascertain training needs based on staff feedback strategize and implement the action plan working with Communications as appropriate
  • Leverage off of existing L&TD & Global Education programs ensuring staff awareness through proper communication
Leadership & Teamwork
  • Ensure adequate development and training is provided to the team to develop skills and competency within Screening operations.

Operational Effectiveness & Control
  • Ensure employees adhere to the established operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies, especially given the regulatory implications associated with Screening Operations
  • Ensure all actions take account of the likelihood of operational risk occurring and address any areas of concern in conjunction with operations management and/or the appropriate department
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Requirements What you will need to succeed in the role:
  • Background in Learning & Development/Training Environment is preferred
  • Prior experience in managing Screening operations mainly payment screening training programs is an added advantage
  • Minimum 3-6 years' relevant experience in the Screening Operations domain especially payment screening is preferable
  • Strong communication & presentation skills required with excellent planning & organization skills.

  • Highly effective in working with all levels of management and staff adapts well to culturally diverse work environments with ability to manage resources in the most effective way to achieve cost/service levels
  • Excellent leadership skills and experience of leading teams with the ability to manage in a matrix environment
  • Ability to maintain control, direction, and motivation in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data efficiently, draw conclusions on what the data means, and actions required
  • Experience in training techniques, methods, evaluation
  • Strong technical financial skills and ability to explain difficult concepts to a broad cross-section of staff
What additional skills will be good to have
  • The role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the role holder required to liaise and coordinate with operations management and team members across multiple sites.

  • Excellent understanding of the processes and systems and will need to be certified on the process
  • CGSS Certification Preferable
