Within WFA, this requirement is with the Flex team About the RoleWells Fargo WIM Ops is seeking for a candidate to perform various back office & middle office functions, which involves Account maintenance, Asset movement, Trade processing, Settlements, Asset Servicing, Reconciliation, Income processing etc This candidate will be primarily responsible for having oversight of the production work across functions based on the necessity with minimal supervision Process deals with stringent cutoffs and tight deadlines on a daily basis so the candidate should possess the sense of urgency and willing to go beyond the expectationsSpecifically, this role will be part of the Risk & Regulatory leadership team and is responsible for timely and accurate non-financial regulatory reporting and regulatory trade reporting oversight.
Primary ResponsibilitiesIs responsible for having oversight of teams that are performing a variety of operational tasks for highly complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require good knowledge of unit functions and systemsThe incumbent should have over 10-15 years of experience within Financial Services industry with a strong ability to:
- Provide leadership to all aligned teams to improve processes, implement controls, manage resources, and execute on the WIM Operations strategic plan
- Collaborate with senior leaders and provide input to establish the strategic direction for business initiatives
- Ensure operational policies and procedures comply with regulatory compliance for all aligned capabilities
- Sound knowledge of Account and Event services (Opening and Closing accounts, account management), Asset Movement Services, Trading services (Trade processing / Settlements etc.
), Holding Services (Corporate Action / Mutual funds processing / Portfolio Reconciliation etc) - Handle the queries from the U S teams/clients/customers
- Performs a variety of operational tasks in middle office area which high complex in nature
- To be able to escalate any discrepancies/issues to the supervisors in a timely fashion.
- Very good Understanding of US Trade life cycle and stock record to assist in non-financial regulatory reporting
- Very good understanding of market participants like custodian, clearinghouse, brokers, Investment Managers, exchange etc
- Leads and/or participates in production improvement efforts and addresses procedural impacts
- Provides management level reporting including service quality, volume tracking, and/or staff performance
- SME of the process/look after the overall process delivery
- Make sure all the functions are cross trained appropriately and all the function have backups to manage the staff leave management

- Leading Operations for a large, complex LOB and/or multiple LOBs Build and lead a team of approximately 30+ across a LOB or LOBs.
This span is based on the complexity of the process Build and lead a team to deliver quality and cost effective off-shoring solutions to the US managers Manage the LoB's budgets, revenues and expenses Engage and manage stakeholder relationships and provide solutions when needed.
Engage the partners (counterparts in the US) to plan, assign and manage the delivery of work Operational Excellence: focus on driving continuous improvement Risk Management: proactively identify risks and build robust internal controls Develop and maintain a flexible and skilled resource base for provision of the service collaborating with colleagues for efficient resource management Create opportunities for growth, both horizontal and vertical.
