About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Design Research & Strategy SpecialistWells Fargo is seeking a Senior Design Research & Strategy Specialist who can conduct and analyze user research studies related to employee experience and behavior The senior user experience researcher will synthe user research findings, recommend design solutions and propose innovative product and experience design strategies to address employee needs across Service Now, Workday and other internal HR Tools.
In this role you will:
- Provide usability design expertise and direction to product managers, IT developers, content strategists, and project leaders to ensure employee insights are included within strategy and design solutions
- Lead, conduct and manage research studies with a global audience of end users
- Studies include but are not limited to: usability testing, RITE, ethnography, contextual inquiry, concept testing, expert reviews, one-on-one interviews, observations and/or focus groups
- Utilize data analytic methods, both quantitative and qualitative techniques, to develop a comprehensive approach to understanding the employee experience
- Reporting results and proposing user interface design and strategy suggestions per user insights
- Create both comprehensive and summary research reports with visual elements to properly convey user feedback as well as recommendations for remediation of usability issues
- Communicate research findings to all levels of the organization and advocating for exceptional digital experiences for all employees
- Create personas, journey maps, story boards, affinity diagrams as well survey construction with a strong understanding of data analytics and strategy
- Collaborate with the UX team on defining new research strategies and/or refining existing ones
- You will understand how business rules work with employee experiences
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 8+ years' experience designing, conducting and analyzing both quantitative and qualitative research studies, through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree in the areas of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Computer Science or Engineering
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience with a variety of research methods, including 1-on-1 interviews, card sorts, RITE, unmoderated remote/online, and field studies
- Experience with the user-centered design process including creating and/or using a variety of artifacts such as personas, scenarios, task flows, wireframes, journey maps, etc
- Experience with standard research tools including use of User Zoom, Optimal Workshop, Survey Monkey, User Testing, remote testing and observation tools (eg, Skype, Zoom), etc.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of employees
- Knowledge and understanding of working in agile
- Experience working with digital platforms Service Now and Workday
- Able to understand the user-centered design process, including personas, task analysis, task flows, interaction design, and content strategy
- Ability to understand and select best technical tools per project
- Have a proven track record of leveraging creative research methods to answer difficult questions and generate actionable insights
