Role descriptionDocumentJOB DESCRIPTION APositionOverviewPosition Title Senior Manager - ITDepartment ITLevel / Band 501 Role Summary : This position is primarily responsible for handling maintenance & support of AS400 core insurance application The candidate would be required to manage a team of developers and vendor resources to ensure timely delivery of requirements with utmost quality on IBM AS/400 platform This role includes managing development, maintenance & production support teams Drive team in analyzing production issues and fixing root cause issues to ensure reduction of tickets and delivering regulatory requirements on time Also he/she needs to review functional and technical design specifications, oversee development, perform code reviews, obtaining signoffs prior to release, plan implementation, post production verification and support.

Plan and execute projects to automate processes to reduce ticket inflow and ensure stability of application Drive support team to deliver root cause fix & automation to reduce repetitive issues Provide technical assistance to the team, mentor team members on technology and application areas Ensure resolution of customer complaints, audit/compliance issues on priority Understand regulatory requirements and align support to deliver on-time .

Own-up' the risk of the function by developing a risk aware culture through participation in measurement, analysis and mitigation of risks associated with the respective function This includes development of risk response processes, participation in contingency and business continuity programs and reporting of emerging risks with potential impacts Also respond to risks highlighted by employees through formal / informal mechanisms and advice on various risk management issues within the organization and provide feedback Participate in implementing risk mitigation plan through optimum resource allocation, monitoring and reporting on status ESkills RequiredTechnicalBehavioral Essential DesiredInterpersonal skills Communication skills .
