NKey Responsibility & Key Tasks Measures 1New Infrastructure Planning:-
  • Conceptualize the infrastructure details & logistics requirements of the new project based on factory layout & equipment planning by the Planning department
  • Facilitate the feasibility study to understand the budget requirements/timelines and alternatives
  • Propose the preliminary infrastructure budget plan based on inputs from the planning team for necessary approvals
  • Review & finalize the preliminary designs developed based on GA drawings from equipment suppliers prior to execution.

  • Finalize the execution sanction reports containing the details of various project costs and send it for approval
  • Review the detail design / drawings and provide necessary inputs for improvements (if any)
  • Obtain necessary approvals/clarifications post discussion with government/statutory bodies (Factory Inspector) regarding addition of new Utilitiesin case of escalations
  • Identify, estimate & allocate the resource pools (manpower, machinery, equipment's etc) to different sub areas in the various phases
  • Finalize broad timelines for major sub phases and review progress against the planned schedules on a weekly basis along with CPED & planning teams.

  • Monitor and control the project activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule by realignment of various resources from time to time
  • Review the MIS reports for the Utility areas and forward to the TS head for consolidation on a monthly basis Time & Cost (Budget Vs Actual) Quality as per nature of work
  • EducationWork Experience2Vendor Finalization:-
  • Approve the vendor list in case of specialized items after reviewing the vendor credentials
  • Finalize the RFQ for ARC(Annual Rate contract) and solicit preliminary quotations from vendors prior to negotiations
  • Coordinate with vendors post PO release to understand their resource mobilization & execution plan
  • Make recommendations to P&SC for award of contracts Time & Cost 3Material Procurement:-
  • Review material requirements based on the approved designs on a monthly basis.

  • Finalize the rolling material plan depending on the quantities on a monthly basis
  • Monitor material consumption and review the plan on a quarterly basis and make necessary changes if any
  • Approve the purchase requisition & SES for civil & structural material and forward to Direct Materials for procurement
  • Follow up with the Materials department for timely delivery of materials for construction works
  • Monitor the inspection of bulk/critical deliveries in order to ensure adherence to technical specifications and implementing cross checking standards.

  • Reconcile the material consumption against execution on a monthly basis
  • Verify the physical stock at the contractor site to control wastage within limits and regulate future procurement on a monthly basis
  • Monitor the mode of transportation to different sites within the plant premises in order to ensure adherence to safety standards Time, Cost & Quality (Budget Vs Actual) 4Capacity Enhancement in existing shops:-
  • Provide inputs/suggestions for a detailed feasibility study based on the functional requirements of user departments/strategic guidelines and analyse the scope of enhancement & alternatives
  • Review and finalize structures / facilities required to support the capacity enhancement within the existing shops
  • Envisage the constraints to regular production at the time of execution and suggest corrective actions to remove bottlenecks prior to execution
  • Approve the detail design / execution drawings post review and release for execution Modify/suggest improvements(if any) prior to approval
  • Monitor and control the execution activities within the budgeted cost, quality and time schedule on a daily basis (morning meetings) Time, Cost & Quality (Budget Vs Actual) 5Utility Maintenance
  • Finalize the estimates for the contracts raised for maintenance activities by the Contract Cell prior to execution
  • Review the execution of all Utilities maintenance activities related to existing infrastructure and their stability on a regular basis
  • Monitor the expenses for Utilities maintenance activities and ensure adherence to available budgets
  • Approve payments to vendors post execution of maintenance activities
  • Intimate the Finance department about the incurrence based on current POs to ensure cash provisions on a monthly basis
  • Review of basic infrastructure (roads, supply & drainage systems etc) and maintenance work status on requirement basis Time, Cost & Quality (Budget Vs Actual) 6Compliance:- 1 Coordinate with the contractors to facilitate the adherence to labour compliances on a quarterly basis 2.

    Supervise the Utility related activities in order to support the team in timely execution & necessary certification wherever applicable promote and engage the Utility team members in CSR activities 3 Assist the internal stakeholders for cost/time optimization for new infrastructure creation at the planning stage 4 Contribute to achieve Green Building certification in case of new infrastructure.
