About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Data Engineering Director to lead our teams out of the India & Philippines region The teams are part of a global organization ieThe Core Engineering and Transformation responsible for WIM engineering, transformation and solution strategies in support of WIM products including Data products developing the engineering blue- print and core components and liaison to Enterprise Architecture GroupIn this role, you will:

• Lead the strategy and resolution of the most complex and significant Data Governance, Data Management, Data Engineering, Data Modernization and Data & BI Analytics challenges across the Wealth & Investment Management Technology L, delivering solutions that are long term, large scale, broad reaching, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking and coordination of highly complex activities and resolution
• Manage and develop multiple data management specialized teams of managers with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity and risk data analytic product and service for stakeholders, internal partners associated with data management or affected by its outcomes
• Identify opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development
• Align teams to execute on WIM Engineering strategy and enabler structure
• Create a balanced team with product, engineering leaders that can influence resources and decision rights on execution.
  
  -Product-based teams supporting a set of aligned systems and applications-Product definitions will span LOB boundaries and include systems/apps in all areas of WIM
• Focus on Operational data aligned to products vs Data analytics/models
• Oversee public cloud infrastructure management, vendor management, quality frameworks and processes, release management, general systems integration
• Lead a team of data engineers to design and delivery a data engineering solution for internal and external facing lines of business
• Lead data analytic teams by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet higher risk deliverables
• Interpret and develop range of data management policies and procedures for Technology functions with moderate to higher complexity and risk
• Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
• Lead team to achieve objectives
• Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in Data Engineering and Management
• Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Required Qualifications, US:

• 8+ years of Data Engineering experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 4+ years of Management experience

Required Qualifications, International:

• Experience in Data Engineering, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in Data & Analytics, demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
• 14+ years of experience in DWH, OLTP, ETL systems, Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality & BI Tools
• Experience of working hybrid cloud platform (Google or AWS or Azure AND on-premise)
• 5+ years of Programming experience in Unix, Spark, Python, Apache beam or relevant data open source & cloud native technologies
• 5+ years of experience in database (Teradata or Oracle or Equivalent or Cloud Native DWHs)
• 5+ Years of working in Agile teams
• Ability of coordinate with multiple teams and ability to resolve blockers and meet timelines
• Strong analytical skills including analyzing complex data patterns

Job Expectations:

• Drive operational excellence in WIM centralized data consumption, utilization, and reporting
• Ensure proper data usage via product aligned data ownership, registered data ownership, controlled data access, and distribution with maintained data lineage
• Drive near-real time consumption of data for improved reporting
• Align to Banking Platform & Product Architecture through federated data ownership

• Help setup a team for establishing WIM' Data Analytic practice by providing value driven Data Analytics.

• Align to Banking Platform & Product Architecture through continuous partnership with WFC product owners
• Enhance Products through exposing Analytical API for Wealth Management Daa and associated Data Models and Analytic pools
