Colt provides network, voice and data centre services to thousands of businesses around the world, allowing them to focus on delivering their business goals instead of the underlying infrastructure Role title: Tech Lead - Cyber SecurityColt Level: PT1 - Core /AdvanceFunction:CSOC, CSOReports to: Cyber Security Operations ManagerLocation:Gurgaon/Bangalore Role purposeAs a Tech Lead primary responsibilities are to provide support for SIEM and Incident Response services with expert level knowledge on technology and operations skills Responsible for SIEM and other Incident Response tools platform management, administration, enhancements , use cases preparation and deployment Ensure critical technology components are monitored to proactively detect cyber related incidents Develop and deploy robust detection and response capabilities Key accountabilitiesSupport SOC Manager to deliver the following
  • Provide and manage cyber security services to Colt and its customers.

  • SIEM, IR tools platform management including all design, implementation and administration activities , Use cases preparation and implementation, connector deployment, maintenance & health checks
  • Responsible for operational activities readiness check, Technology escalation support, Security Solution assessment, build activities , existing Service maturing and Build activities assist
  • Analyse potential infrastructure security incidents to determine if incident qualifies as a legitimate security breach
  • Establishing and governing the security incident response processes, investigations and security operational processes
  • Maintenance and enhancement of formal service catalogue, service descriptions, targets and performance against these
  • Ensure security services, tools and platforms are adequately maintained
  • Monitoring of and reporting on the effectiveness of our security enforcing technologies
  • Identification and ongoing monitoring of specific security risks and KPIs and production of management information to ensure Colt receives value from key security investments/services.

  • Contribute to design, development and maintenance of security standards and controls
  • Align team's goals and plan with Colt's long term priorities and strategy
  • Develop and grow the talent and people capability within the security teams
  • Develop relation with national and industry CERTs
Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)
  • Takes ownership for understanding what is expected of them / their team and ensures it is delivered
  • Proactively requests Leadership for views and opinions using this feedback to improve personal performance
  • Reviews working methods regularly to identify ways of improving service delivery - makes recommendations on what improvement can be made and owns delivery of agreed action plan

  • Understands cultural differences and utilises this understanding to build rapport across different teams in order to obtain the necessary cooperation.

Role specific requirementsSkills and Experience
  • Self-driven individuals with 5 to 12 years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience on medium and large platforms, with multiples security technologies/vendor
  • Worked under high pressure situations
Essential Requirements:
  • Proficient in SIEM tool like ArcSight and Sentinel
  • Proficient in Security Incident Management and Response
  • Experience building and maintain security incident correlation content,
use-cases (hands-on)
  • Proactive monitoring, triage and management of security incidents.

  • Experience with reverse engineering tools and techniques as it pertains to network traffic collection and analysis
  • Provide guidance and insight, as well as follow directives as necessary to complete accelerated deployment of the SIEMs
  • Knowledge of Information security standards, policies, controls and structures prevalent in the industry
  • Experience in producing periodic report measuring various KPI/KRI to maintain and drive technology, people, process improvements
  • Strong technical understanding of network fundamentals(Routing, Switching) and common Internet protocols( HTTP, SNMP, TLS, DNS etc.

    )
  • Capable and willing to integrate multiple security control production into the SIEMs platform
  • Experience in security device/tool and SIEM platform management
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience in security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, risk management, incident management, threat management, etc
  • Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation
Qualifications Combination of the following:
  • Degree in Information Technology, Engineering or similar
  • SIEM management - Desirable to have some advanced Certification from SIEM vendor on products such as ArcSight , MS Sentinel or Logrhythem
