Job DescriptionJob Description 236 million patients reached with Novartis medicines in more than 140 countries 500+ clinical trials, 400+ industry and academic alliances, 60+ projects in clinical development, This is your chance to be where great science turns into great medicinesAs the Technical Research and Development (TRD) Project Planner you will Support TRD Technical Project Leader (TPL) and Sub Team with the set-up and maintenance of cross-functional technical project plans (work packages) in the new Project Management system (Horizon) Ensure operational excellence by proficient, accurate & harmonized project planning across TRD globally and warrant compliance of resource planning & tracking in line with the defined IMB strategy/categorization Provide downloads/reports of resources in respective system and any other information to customers in TRD sub teams and line functions (BPAs).

The position can be based in Slovenia, India or Austria Your responsibilities:Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Expert in the Project Management System 'Horizon' and other Portfolio Management relevant planning and tracking tools Oversee the cross-functional TRD Project Plans for the assigned projects in Horizon, Project Management System Manage timelines and resources (int/ext) for all TRD Line Function activities within a given cluster of projects in close collaboration with the TRD TPL and the TRD sub team.

Act as extended member/participant of TRD sub-team to ensure up to date project plans, data accuracy and realistic forecasting in relevant Project Portfolio Management Systems (Horizon) Liaise with Project Manager (NIBR PM, GDD GPM & Clinical Planner) to ensure timely update of TRD relevant work packages (WP), particularly prior to tollgate and other decision points Liaise with LF BPA & Controller for project cost tracking and phasing Review, validate and challenge input, in collaboration with TRD DA/FH, as needed to ensure realistic planning.

Generate regular Horizon & financial tool reports for portfolio & project reviews (eg for TRD Management, PMO, DA/FH etc.

) Support development of processes, governance and best practices for data entry and maintenance in Horizon & other planning tools together with other resource planners & TRD PMO Ensures data entry & reporting are done in compliance to above defined processes and best practices together with other resource planners & TRD PMODiversity & Inclusion / EEO Minimum Requirements Technical or Business Administration Degree.

Bachelor of Science in Pharma or Life Science is an asset Fluent English (oral and written) German desirable At least 2-3 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry in technical development (potentially in other development functions, project management or finance as well) Technical and/or business school education, Broad understanding and background of development and technical operations environments.

Adaptable and flexible Must demonstrate ability and willingness to learn new systems and processes quickly and readily Willing and able to work hands-on with complex IT system.

Great attention to accuracy and detail Demonstrated technical and database skills Strong customer focus experience in working in service functions or providing customer support Experience in working within a global team environment and be a supportive team playerDesirable requirements:.
