The Role ResponsibilitiesJob RoleThe Infrastructure Delivery Lead will
  • Manage and deliver the portfolio of Infrastructure projects from inception to post implementation, representing budget control of circa $20m PA
  • Deliver line of business strategic imperatives in a strategic manner
  • Act as a primary interface with support and peer functions such as technology, Risk, Ops and Compliance to ensure we have an integrated functional architecture and operating model
  • Continuity, Security and obsolescence management across the GCFO estate, including delivering remediation projects to ensure the bank's security and operational risk is appropriately under control
  • Manage staff directly through project team structures and using influence.

  • Own the governance structure including running of Refinement Forums across Finance Technology initiatives
The role holder will have Senior Change / Programme management experience within Banking in the GCFO domain If this experience has been running a range of large projects simultaneously across multiple geographies, and a strong knowledge in defining managing and delivering a strategic infrastructure across organisation Knowledge and experience in delivering strategic change for lines of business and Risk a distinct advantage Core Deliverables
  • Lead the delivery of strategic infrastructure and mandatory change projects within committed timelines, committed cost, quality assurance and benefit yields.

  • Proactively identify threats to project delivery and programme wide risks and instigate recovery action to assure project delivery
  • Manage key business, IT and vendor/ partner stakeholders to ensure effective communications and timely escalations
  • Lead the collaborative, dynamic planning process - prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability of the team
  • Lead the Project management life cycle, perform quality review of project deliverables
Organisational Engagement
  • Constructively challenge and present viable alternatives to business models, operational processes and the interpretation of relevant rules and regulations whilst continually looking to minimise regulatory risk and the ongoing cost of finance operations.

  • Facilitate the defining and agreeing of solutions to drive effectiveness and efficiency with representatives from key Business and Technology stakeholders
Programme Management
  • Complete programme definition in line with the Bank's strategic objectives
  • Throughout the life of the projects review and prioritise to ensure ongoing alignment
  • Define and mobilise individual projects within the programme
  • Ensure development of benefits profiles and active management of benefits realisation.

  • Manage the programme (and constituent projects) in accordance with the Bank's Project Management Standards and external best practices
  • Ensure robust and transparent programmatic controls including resource, financial, schedule and quality management, status reporting and governance - including use of automated tooling (Clarity)
  • Conduct appropriate stakeholder engagement and communications to ensure effective delivery of the programme of work
  • Ensure interdependencies with other projects and programmes are managed effectively
  • Process redefinition and improvement as facilitated by the project delivery.

  • Accountable for change delivery of all programme activities, directly managing business change teams and overseeing IT delivery
External Parties
  • Scan the wider external environment and maintain active engagement with professional industry subject matter experts to anticipate rules and regulations which have the potential to impact the Change book of work
  • Maintain relationships with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations
  • Where external vendors are used, ensure robust control processes and engagement management
People
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams to support both delivery and career development.

  • Establish strong relationships between the Finance and ITO Functions to encourage collaborative and transparent working
  • Lead on the drive for up-tiering and up-skilling the Finance Function in the country in order to develop high performing teams for the future inspire and engage people

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Graduate, preferably an MBA from a premier business school with experience of delivering Technology solutions for banking and Finance organizations
  • Proven experience of defining and delivering large scale, multinational (global / regional) programmes in a banking and financial services environment.

  • Over 10 years in Programme Management including experience in an Investment Banking environment on large scale change programs
  • Thorough understanding of Project delivery methodologies - Agile, SDLC
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills covering both senior and operational levels
  • Experience of programme definition and delivery in an evolving regulatory environment
